My second set of highlights from our trip to Scotland (first set is here) is from the Isle of Harris and the Isle of Lewis. I find the name a bit confusing, as Harris and Lewis actually attached to each other and form one big island (larger than Skye!) together.  The landscape was also a bit confusing to me. This was the first time I visited the Outer Hebrides, of which Harris and Lewis are a part, and the landscape is quite different from what I had seen in Scotland so far. And even on the island is quite a bit of variation. What made me feel a bit rootless, even slightly disoriented it the lack of trees or woodland. It is quite a harsh environment, specifically on the East coast of South Harris, you imagine that the landscape on the moon could look like this. On the West coast however you could imagine being in the Caribbean, where it not for the cold… 🙂

Well, so for yourself, as without further ado I present the gallery with my most treasured images from this great Island.

The photos were shot with the M240, the M2 on Portra 400, or with the Minolta Riva Panorama on Adox Silvermax.
