The last two weeks I had a hard time adjusting from Greece to the Netherlands, both mentally and physically (oh Greek light and air!). And on my first photo expedition I had to deal with some drowsy weather 🙁

A big change, from the beach on Karpathos to the North Sea beach in Monster. As it was a rainy day, I didn’t expect much with respect to photo opportunities. But I came across a surf-classroom in the sea. A bunch of kids in green shirts learning to surf on a rainy day. I say: kudos for dedication!

However, most photos I took are ok, but not really special. But I do like the one above. I like the posture of the boy, and the reflection of the foot. To give more emphasis to this, I created this version of the photo:

The class moved on for their next round, and I moved on to discover different parts of the beach. Some nice colours too, I think, just a bit more muted than Greece. OK, I will shut up about it now. Move on, holiday is over, and the Dutch landscape is also beautiful.
