Sundays in a fall forest

After our week in the Peak District, I had the feeling that I didn’t have the quintessential fall picture. I loved the Peak District, and I loved the forest around Padley Gorge, but I had hoped for a more fall-feeling. However, I found my sunny orange-golden picturesque  fall woodland in The Netherlands, in Amerongen to be precise.

You can’t plan the weather. There was a forecast for all-day fog, and that was what I was counting on/hoping for. And I saw some gorgeous fog on my way to Amerongen. But at the minute I got out of my car, the fog disappeared. At first I was a bit disappointed, but then I saw the sun rays at this relatively open spot in the forest, with the orange carpet on the ground, and I realised that it wasn’t such a bad day 🙂 . So here they are, my best attempts at putting fall in an image. Is THE fall picture among these? I don’t know, but I know I can’t do much better than this…
