Autumn started yesterday, at least according to the astronomical calendar. And as much as there is to look forward too, with fall colours and fog ahead of us, summer was quite nice too. To celebrate the end of the summer I want to share my favourite forest photos from the last couple of weeks, where the trees were still mostly green.

It is also the celebration of my new Nikonos V. I mentioned in my previous post that the North Sea stole my Nikonos, and my man was so very nice to replace it for me. To try and test the camera I took it to the Amerongse Bossen (forest), not an environment where it would naturally fit, but I didn’t want to throw it in the sea just yet…

Anyway, the photos are a compilation of three outings at three different locations. The first is Kaapse Bossen in Doorn:

Next my test roll from the Nikonos V, which I took to Amerongse Bossen in Amerongen. The weather was not what I hoped for, a drizzly rain with a grey sky, but it worked wonderfully well for the colours and the mood in the woods:
