Fall is about six weeks old, and so far it has been pretty generous with the sought after (at least by photographers) fog. Which means that my morning commutes have been pretty great. This time of the year I am really grateful to be able to cycle to work with my cameras at hand.

Apart from the daily photo on my standard spot for my commute project, I couldn’t resist taking a couple more, which I like to share today. Below you see the road alongside the canal which I travel for about 5 kilometers:

Before reaching the canal I have two options, one option travels through some fields, which is often my preferred route when there is fog:

Back to the canal:

My main focus is on the canal, but when I look in the other direction (to my left) I have a pretty wide view over a lot of meadows. I usually find this view pretty boring, but last week there was an impressive rainbow (with even a hint of a second one):

The same fields disappear all together when the fog is really heavy. Still good enough for some nice pastel colors:

But most of the time the view over the canal is all I need, below two favourites that I already shared in my commute project, but they fit nicely in this post, so I am happy to repeat them here:

All photos were taken in the morning on my way to work with my M240.
