I’ve had a busy week, but managed to go out on my bike for a bit of exploring. I did not manage to get up early enough for sunrise, but I was lucky. There was a thin fog, making the light almost as good.
My bike seems to be my best exploring-mate lately, so I thought it deserved a spot here. As you would imagine with the fog, there was no wind, creating a mirror-like water surface. The yellow flowers on the shore of this little river give it such a sunny look.
My eyes are always open for a nice tree, and this morning I encountered this one. It wasn’t standing alone, so I decided to photograph it against the sun to create a less cluttered image.
A little bit further down the road I heard some noise, and I soon discovered a large sheep-gathering. It must have been important stuff, as a lot of sheep had turned up, and they all had something to say 😉 . With the fog it was possible to shoot directly into the sun. Always love doing that!
The lambs are getting bigger, but they’re still cute, right?
Finally I tried to combine the sunny yellow flowers, the mirror water-surface, the sheep and the backlight. Trying to get everything in one photo is not always a good idea. This time it gave me an extra: flare. Either you like it or you don’t, I thought it was worth sharing. I guess shooting directly into the sun is one thing, but shooting into the sun (almost) wide open is another!
