Last post I showed some night photos of London, but of course I brought my camera during the day as well. One thing I love about London is that this city is quite green. There are many gardens and parks, small or large, where you can have a rest (weather permitting!). This post is dedicated to those green spots in the city.
Often the small gardens are enclosed by a gate, but mostly the gates are open (below). Above a small church with a garden with a few benches (I made this photo through the bars). Below a small park near the Tower of London.
I guess it was quite clear in the previous post that we stayed near St Paul’s Cathedral, which also has a beautiful garden. So I took a lot of photos here, both early in the morning and in the afternoon. My favourite photo of London, the photo at the top of this post, was also shot in this garden.
One advantage of rising early is that you get to have St Paul’s Cathedral all to yourself, apart from the occasional red bus of course…
The next one is not so much a small garden, but just a corner on a busy street with a pub/restaurant. But it looked inviting and green, reason enough to make a photo.
Finally, some other blue/purple flowers with a bee. Focussing on a moving bee is way too difficult, but I like the bokeh-bee enough to leave it in the photo 😉 .
