I like how the light works in this one. Added contrast.

My journey in film photography took another turn. I shot a roll of Ilford HP5+ after some useful feedback on my previous post on 35mmc. And I wrote another post about it, which Hamish was so kind to publish again on his blog:

The Yellow Filter And Why I Love This Community – by Aukje

Here are a few om my favourite photo’s from my this roll, they were all taken with the Olympus 35 SP. If you take a look at my post on 35mmc, be sure to have a look around, there is some really cool stuff there!

Added clarity and contrast to remove some of the flare.

My niece, unprocessed.

Again. too early, not enough light. Or I should have used a tripod. But I like the compartments on the ground. Needed some work though (contrast, blacks, whites, etc)

Some black was added.

This one I am really happy with. Unprocessed, but there is white, there is black, and there is definition in the sky. Also a big thanks to the weather...

Thanks for reading!

  1. Nice images! I really like the shot of the dog and the young lady. I am currently working on my first roll of HP5+ (35mm). I wanted to see how it compares to TRI-X. I might have to give that yellow filter a try.
