Last week I spend an early Sunday morning in the Zeisterbos (woodland near the town Zeist), a forest that has been around long enough (> 200 years) to develop some decent trees. I it is no secret that wandering in woodland is my favourite kind of outdoor activity, but I still struggle to make great photos in a forest. The trees can be a bit dishevelled, and I like my images clean. It’s difficult to put in an image what I enjoy about the forest. Another challenge: you get up early to catch the beautiful sunlight in the morning, to realise that in a dense woodland the sun can hardly get through… But I managed to catch some sunlight this morning. And I encountered a strange tree in a bit of open space covered with mushroom. So I had a great morning, and I will definitely return to this forest in the fall.
