When possible my man and I like to visit Greece in late spring/early summer. The light in Greece is gorgeous, and at the beginning of the summer it is not too hot yet. What can I say, I am going to let the photos do the talking. For this week on the isle Crete I used my M2 with Portra 400, and my Nikonos V for underwater photography. Enjoy!
First, some photos showing our holiday resort, which was built like a traditional greek village:
The beach was the perfect spot to watch the sun rise:
Then after sunrise it’s time to put on some goggles and explore the underwater world:
Although we were primarily busy with lounging and snorkelling, we managed to get a short road trip in too. Away from the beach the typical blues of Greece make way for some green and earth-tones:
A week always feels so short, but we will return to Greece next year, I am sure. For now I’ll finish with my favourite blue and my favourite man π

A great choice of films for each environment – I particularly like the Ultramax set.
Thank you! Yes, the Ultramax works rather well for underwater photography.
