Somehow I just don’t get around to a proper photo-expedition. Busy in the weekends, or very dreary, boring weather. However this week I did get lots of opportunities for some nice photos on my way to work. It was very cold indeed, but the colors were extraordinary. When I started my commute project I didn’t expect to find such a variety in such a short amount of time. And the photos in this post were made during the course of only one week.
I start the week on Sunday, on which I didn’t go to work, but drove to my family in Oirschot. So the first image was made there, but this is where the cold (and color!) started:

On Monday it had gotten even colder, with very dry air. I can’t remember seeing such orange colors on a winter morning, but they are real. I didn’t add any vibrance or saturation to these images in post-processing.

By the way, if you look in the other direction (away from where the sun will rise) you get a totally different image…

And back to orange and blue:

Tuesday was again very cold, but now there was a lot of water in the air. I don’t know if that is the reason, but the sky looked totally different.

After this photo I hang around for a while and the sky changed into this:

And more pastel colors on the other side of the road:

Thursday was the opposite. A dull mist, no color, no contrast, no clarity. But interestingly different.

I managed to take a photo of my man in his convertible where only his head is (more or less) sharp. How cool is that?

Finally on Friday the sun returned, bringing back the color. But of course very different again. Nice one to finish the week with I guess.

Temperatures will be higher next week, so I expect different skies again. And the days are getting longer too, so not too long from now I expect to see the sun at my usual spot.
For now: thanks for reading!
Nice colors and compositions! Nice catch on the pan shot, too!
Thanks! And with the pan shot I was a bit lucky, but hey 😉
